The Training Practitioners’ Handbook on diversity

This handbook will provide an open learning manual, which can be used independently after the project has finished. The handbook will contain background information on concepts such as racism, discrimination and xenophobia with an emphasis on the importance of gender equality and child rights. It will also contains background information on the specific situation of groups in the sub-regions based on the research papers and reports by NGOs presented at the workshops in each region. Finally, the manual will present methods and techniques for working on combating racism, discrimination and xenophobia, based on tools developed by Re-evaluation counselling and the NGO United to End Racism (Weissglass, 1990).
